With Melody’s recent announcement there hasn’t been much else to report so it seems this website is on a small hiatus until we know more of what Melody is doing. I’ve been checking her blogs and it seems like she is just taking some time out.

But please keep posting in the forums, they seem to have really slowed down over the past few days.

I know I said I won’t close this site and I won’t but updates are likely to be very slow. So comments and tags and messages in the forums keeps this site going!

First congrats to Melody who’s Best of album got to #4 in the charts. I was so happy it did well but then Melody posted some news on her myspace:

I have a very important announcement to make to all of my fans and staff.

As of January, 2009 I will be stepping away from singing.
It’s been over five years since my debut as an artist in Japan, and I’ve met great people and had great experiences.
I would like to say thank you so much for supporting me all the way.

To be honest with you, I always had two dreams. One was of course to be a singer, but the other was to do something in the fashion industry.
I’ve been fortunate enough to be able make one of my dreams a reality.
Now, I’ve decided to make my first steps towards my other dream.

This is a new direction for me and I really don’t know what to expect in the coming years, but I hope for your continued support. I really would not have made it this far without you all.

I sincerely thank you all from the bottom of my heart!

Even though I have to admit I am sad to see that Melody will not be releasing any new music, I wish her luck on her fashion career and I would also like this moment to say, I will not be closing this site down. I hope that this site will be able to follow Melody with her new interest in the fashion industry.
